Tip of the Week
Everyone has at least one club in their bag that shouldn’t be there, most of you will know which one I’m talking about; some keep it for ornamental purposes, others for macho reasons (1 and 2 irons) and others because they remember that one time in the early 90’s when they hit it perfectly and believe it will happen again!!!!
This brings me to my tip for this week… Customise your set MAKE-UP. This means finally taking that impossible 2 and 3 iron out of the bag and finding a hybrid to replace them and in the process ensuring you carry the correct 14 clubs to help you play better golf. For me that means carrying the following in my set:

• 3 Wood • 3 iron – PW • Gap Wedge – 52 degrees • Sand Wedge 56 degrees • Lob Wedge 60 degrees • Putter |

Here are a few tips when deciding how to build your perfect 14:
If you struggle with your…
…woods off the fairway – try a hybrid iron with a low loft.
….long irons – try a hybrid iron with equivalent loft.
…lob wedge – throw it away and use your PW/SW.
Nothing has revolutionized golf in recent times more than hybrid irons; if you haven’t tried one then come to the club and I will give you one of our demo clubs to use. They really are fantastic and soooo much easier to use than long irons and fairway woods. Chat to me about changing your set to suit your game and watch that handicap fall!!
