Mole-busters!
Hello everyone,
This week I have a picture of a mole that we caught on the 10th hole. Moles have become increasingly active now and they tend to move to higher ground with our high water table. We managed to catch one of the critters and we will release it in the sand river shortly.
Here he is....

He did put up a big fight, but was not hurt during the capture.
My device for locating these critters is the best there is and although not very portable, it does the job.
And after the hunt we had a Santa burger.
Enough funny business, our new fertilising program will require a lot more foliar fertiliser applications, and that is why we had to come up with a plan for effective productivity when this task needs to be completed. Mixing the products are very time consuming and take valuable productive time. Therefore I planted the seed in Thinus’s head of my requirements to mix the products while the operator is out spraying, then he can just stop fill up and head out to spray again. This is the end result of that discussion and we will be using it in November for the first application.

The mixing pump will be fitted in this week and then the job is done. Thanks to Thinus and his team.
Other Happenings in October.
We helped Hankey golf club with the hollowtining of their greens and also did the Fijnbosch greens this week. Alongside is a photo of Hankey golf course with Thembela (operator) Thinus (Workshop Manager) and Andre (Hankey Superintendent)

Happy golfing and keep it down the middle.
Regards,
Charl Blaauw
