• June 19 (US Open at Pebble Beach) the 2nd Majors at SFL (and your second chance to qualify for the Nicklaus Cup Matches) Come for the holidays and escape the World Cup congestion!!
• July 16-18 (the Open Championship at St Andrews) and our Annual Member-Guest Partnership – invite your best friend and join us for a great weekend of golf and GOLF!
• July 17th – Our 3rd qualifier for the Nicklaus Cup Matches
• Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, my birthday – pick a day and come!
The FIFA World Cup is the best opportunity for South Africa to strut her stuff… I hope you all have tickets for a match or two. Knock-out!
Many of you have played your games and progressed to the second round of the main draw or the first round of the Plate. This event is a great way to play with other members and not just those who take your cash on Wednesdays and Saturdays! You all have until May 8th to play your first match! If for some strange reason, you have lost your bracket and don’t know who you are playing or how to reach them, just call the shop!
Nicklaus Cup Qualifying - The Majors
Our first Qualifying for the 2010 Nicklaus Cup Matches was closer than the actual Major itself! John Hanley and Scott Keevy tied on a magnificent 36 points. Rather than flip a coin for this major qualifying, the boys will go 18 holes to secure a spot at the Finals in November!
April “ROAD TRIP” – Zwartenbosch!
Last month, The professional staff accompanied a number of Wednesday School members to the remodeled Fynbos Estate (formerly Dirk Fourie) in Eersterivier. Vaughn Tucker and his team were fantastic hosts and the 20 who participated all had a great day. As we are encouraging our neighboring clubs to join us here every second Wednesday of the month, it is fair and cool that we travel on the fourth Wednesday to other clubs in the area. This month, we are off to Zwartenbosch on the 28th. Join the professionals again as we experience the great courses around us!
