Jeff is away on holiday

Hi, Ryan here! Jeff has asked me to fill in while he is away on holiday. Here goes…
This week was back to business as usual at St Francis Links, our hollow tining programme all went well and without a hitch and the greens are already very playable (certainly no excuse to stay away). Andre and his team used a 10mm solid tine, the holes of which have already started closing nicely.

All staff returned on Tuesday, It was great seeing all of my guys again. It really is a pity that a very small minority managed to cast a bad light on what really is an excellent team. Nothing now holds us back as we set out to provide you, our valued members, with an even better service experience.

The PGA Tour’s FedEx Cup race has really started heating up with our Big E dropping out of the top spot and into 5th after the first playoff event. For those of you that don’t know how this works, it goes something like this:

Players accumulate FedEx Cup points throughout the PGA Tour season which carry over into the play-offs. The Barclays Tournament was the first of four events that make up the play-offs. The others are: the Deutsche Bank Championship; the BMW Championship and the final, the Tour Championship.

The problem for Ernie is that the Playoff events are worth 5 times the amount of points than that of a regular tour event. Matt Kuchar went from 9th to first with his win and the reception of a whopping 2500 points. Els had a total of 1846 going into the event and could only manage an extra 5 for his 71st place finish. Looks like Ernie is going to have to win one of the last 3 events to claim the 10 million dollar prize.
The top 5 are as follows:
1
Matt Kuchar 3,937
2 Steve Stricker 2,572
3 Martin Laird 1,977
4 Justin Rose 1,860
5 Ernie Els 1,851

The St Francis Links Matchplay Knockout is also getting very interesting. Remember, if you are still in it, you need to complete your 3rd Round match by the 11th September. If you would like to see the updated draw then please send me a mail and I will send it on to you.

The HOA have bought a few geyser blankets for re-purchase by homeowners. This should make a noticeable difference to your electricity account. They cost R350 VAT inclusive and are very easy to install. If you are interested in conserving energy and would like to find out more about them then please e-mail me at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. Ryan
