Greg Darke celebrated his 40th with a golf day at St Francis Links, complete with some “liquid confidence” on the course, super Santa burgers after and a party that ended up country a few days later… however, we set the platform.

Special Notice:
Due to recent outstanding performances by members in the Wednesday and Saturday competitions, we have decided to 1) grow the “sides” back in and 2) speed up the greens to 12 on the stimp metre – get them like ice! Maybe we’ll move all of the Ladies’ Tees to the Men’s Tees and all of the Men’s Tees to the tips!
If you would like to blame anyone for the changes, give Deon Marais a call – he has just shot two rounds in the 70’s off his “former 11” handicap; or why don’t you call Lynn Slogrove – she just shot 75 gross off her “former 8” handicap on Saturday! Maybe you would like to call Alan Mudumaa as his handicap has fallen from 12 to six!
How can we possibly maintain this reputation of being a “CHALLENGING COURSE” with all of the outstanding golf being played??
Naaaaaah…we’ll just keep making it better and better and you all can explain yourselves in Jack’s Bar after the game!
