Last weekend, we played the Annual Ladies’ Invitational and everyone had a blast… Great golf and weather, nice gifts and prizes, good food and drink – Chef Brad even visually shared his famous Chocolate Fondant recipe as he prepared dessert for the ladies. There was one happening on the course that I missed at Prize giving – it was shared in a thank you letter I received after the event… Enjoy!

Thanks very much for organising the member/guest day on Saturday. My guests had a marvelous day and even though we didn’t win prize, they have vowed to be back again next year. They had nothing but praise for our beautiful course.
I must just tell you of an incident on the 11th hole. One of my playing partners (I'd better not say who) hit a beautiful 2nd shot onto the green, but unfortunately the ball rolled into the bushes at the back of the green. Being a 'never say die golfer' she was determined to get this ball out and onto the green. We told her to hack it out somehow and we would watch the ball. After a perfect back swing, she hit her ankle and not the ball. Needless to say the ball never moved a millimeter. It took us quite a while to stop laughing. Now I have a question for the "golf rules experts":
1) Can she claim IOD (injury on duty)
2) Does she get a prize for the most original golf shot or
3) Must she take a penalty?
We opted for none of the above and she picked up her ball.
The others eventually finished the hole in between raucous laughter. Hopefully the bush is back to its natural place.
We really had a fun day and very often on a golf course, it’s not how well you play the game (though it does help), but how much fun you had trying.
