Frosty Wins on the Champions Tour!

I first met Davis Frost when he accepted our invitation to play in the first professional tournament played at Fancourt – The Hall of Fame Championship. We were the first event in South Africa to welcome overseas back after the apartheid ban. Our event welcomed the two teams who met in the semi-finals of the Dunhill Cup in Scotland – South Africa (Gary Player, John Bland and David Frost) and Sweden (Matts Lanner, Anders Forsbrand and Per-Ulrik Johansson). The Swedes
defeated South Africa and went on the win the Dunhill Cup. We invited the two teams to play again – at Fancourt in December 1991. Andres Forsbrand finished second in the event and David and I have been friends ever since. His 61 on Sunday was stunning.
